Ants have attacked the base of myyoung broccoli and cabbage plants. What can I use the kill, then repel, that will still leave the mature vegetables safe to eat?

You can spray with Bonide Eight Vegetable, Fruit, and Flower Concentrate. Follow the label for mixing instructions and pre-harvest interval. This product is listed for use on broccoli and cabbage. Be sure to read and follow the label directions.

You can use organic pest control because Organic pesticides focus on providing solutions and relief from various types of insects that cause massive damages to the plants being grown on a farm. These products are made of natural materials that have properties of killing or keeping out pests from within the range of your planted field. Unlike the conventional pesticides that rely on convenience, these do require time and preparation in order to put up a successful battle.
