I am concered about all our tall grass's that are planted very close to our home. I was told they are a very bad FIRE hazard.

What type of ornamental grasses do you have? I have never heard of that concern before but if you are worried about it you can cut them back in the fall after they dry and turn brown - unless you have pampas grass which is semi-evergreen and just gets selectively trimmed back in the spring. Ornamental grasses shouldn't be a fire hazard while they are green and growing during the season.
