pre-emergent for existing garden

I have a large natural area with lots of shrubs and perennial flowers with a weed problem. Is there a pre-emergent product that I can use that will not damage the existing flowers and shrubs. What product/products do you recommend.

Yes, a pre-emergence weed control would be a great idea. We recommend using Preen. It comes in different formulations, one is mixed with a fertilizer. These products can safely be applied around most existing trees, shrubs, perennials, and annuals since they just prevent new seeds from sprouting. It will not kill existing weeds, just keep any weed seeds from sprouting. It can be applied at any time, just remember to always read and follow the label directions!
