Vincas are wilting and dying

Postby Helen Shickel » Sun Jul 16, 2017 8:41 pm

Helen Shickel, Bridgewater, VA My vincas have been dying 3 or 4 a week all summer. The leaves start curling and then a branch or two drops and the whole plant wilts and dies. I have replaced some of them twice, and yet some of the original ones are still there. I see brown places on stems and brown (dead spots) where the branch connects to the main stem where it drops or breaks off. Is this an insect or a virus or fungus of some type. What can I do to prevent this? I have a second flower bed of vincas approximately 40-50 feet away and they are perfectly beautiful - not one has died.
